Definitions of symbols

Masonic and Occult Symbols Illustrated - Dr. Cathy Burns (p5)

"A Symbol is something that stands for or suggests something else by reason of relationship, association, convention, or accidental resemblance; esp: a visible sign of something invisible. This is important to know because when we  see a symbol we now know that there is a meaning behind what is actually being shown since a symbol is a "visible sign of something invisible." A related word, symbolism, is "the use of conventional or traditional signs in the representation of divine beings and spirits." This too, is important because many of these symbols also represent gods and goddesses."

The Continuum Encyclopedia of Symbols - Udo Becker (p5)

"... at the same time, however, the verb "symballein" (Greek) was used in manners of speech that suggested a gathering together, a hiding or a veiling. The sign, having become a symbol, therefore encoded or camouflaged the apparent meaning of an expression or that which was represented: the uninitiated observer could no longer understand the statement so encoded."

"A symbol is usually recognized only within some specific culture, religion, or discipline, but a few hundred symbols are now recognized internationally."

Now that we have a better understanding of Symbols and what they represent, let's start looking at some "popular Symbols" that are worn, even by Christians. Keep in mind that Satan and his demonic needs a contact point to get "access" to Christians. What better way than jewelry that contain these pagan and occult Symbols.
